GW’s September Space Marine Release & Price List

Space Marines

With less than 48 hours to go until the new Space Marines are up for pre-order by Games Workshop, some last-minute details – including a full release list – are coming in from the ever-vigilant galactic president @ Masterminis.net.

The highlight is a nearly 10.000,- € one-click bundle (no savings, I presume) for collecting an entire Space Marine Chapter, as well as some (blurry) pics of the Reclusiarch Command Squad and a few other new things. Check it out on Masterminis.net!

#2 – Thoughts?

That release list is mostly a pain to read. Some details that do stand out.

  1. Space Marines One Click Chapter for 9.984,75 € at the very end of the (non-Black Library) list. It also appears to be released a week after the other stuff (Sept. 14th instead of 7th).
  2. Mephiston Red  / Macragge Blue / etc. spray – New hobby products?
  3. Nearly 30 Space Marines one-click bundles in total (+ a few Necron ones). Wow! These things really seem to be working very well for GW, even without savings for the buyer.
  4. No specific “Black Templar Limited Edition Dex”. It truly seems to be rolled into the “successor” variant of the LE Space Marines Codex with, rumours have it, a Black Templar themed book that comes with a Crimson Fist-themed dust-cover.

Either way, a big release (though the abundance of “one-click-deals” inflates the list a lot).

What do you think?

I’m not sure I even see the smallest point in the “one-click bundles” that GW seems to use keenly lately… Are people really that lazy ? Do some really think they save money with those bundles ?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a GW hater – quite the opposite. But those “additional deals” only seem to be clogging the real deal…
