Poll: What Is Your Favourite New Eldar Miniature?

Warhammer 40K Eldar FarseerIt has been a crazy week. After the sepulchral silence on the Eldar for weeks, bits and pieces of the new Warhammer 40K release started coming hard and fast all week. As a consequence, I’ve written about little else. I promise to be a bit more .. varied .. in the coming weeks.

Still, I thought it would be nice to cap off this mad week with a quick Eldar-poll. Specifically, I’d love to know which of the new Eldar miniatures, or miniature kits, is your favourite!

#1 – Games Workshop Leaks and the Public Opinion

To a certain extend, I can sympathize with the rationale of GW to keep thing under wraps until they are ready to release things with their best and shiniest pictures. As with many 40K releases before, the first blurry pictures of the Wraithknight and, to a lesser degree, the Eldar Flyers sparked mostly negative reactions. As more and better pictures appeared, including Games Workshop’s official pre-order launch at the end, many people (though perhaps not everyone) reconsidered.

But I digress.

Games Workshop released a total of 6 new miniatures or miniature kits (Less than 1/5th of what they released for Dark Eldar a few years ago).

Have a look at Games Workshop’s Eldar release video to see them one more time in all their splendor, presented as Games Workshop wants you to see them.

Once you’re finished, cast your vote below!

I voted for Illic Nightspear, that model is just amazing. There were a lot of good releases here, but to be fair I have been impressed with most of GW’s releases lately.

The wraithknight needs to be much sexier, the spiritseers looks kinda stoopid, don’t like nightspear’s paint job (bit to shiny looking, needs to be matte), flyer simply isn’t that great.

    1. Farseer (finally in Plastic and better pose!!!)
    2. Wraithguard / Wraithblades (much more movement and in plastic and generally better posing ang keeps to the idea of ghost units; Wraithknight is piloted and much too bulky)

Poll closed. Wraithguard/Wraithblades are the winners and the Wraithknight gets a respectable 2nd place.

Though I knew the Spiritseer wasn’t popular, I am surprised to see the Farseer getting so little support.
