Wood Elves Army Book Art

An interesting spot from the guys of Wood Elves Warhammer on Facebook: This piece of artwork by The Art of Daarken, titled interestingly enough: Wood Elves – Wood Elves Army Book © Games Workshop.

There is also a variant with slightly different helmets/heads for the riders.

Wood Elves Stag Riders

It might just be fancy artwork, but perhaps it might preview some fancy stag-riding cavalry for the elves of the forest.

    Yes, it appears certain that May will be the month of the Wood Elves. And though I can’t confirm it for sure, it looks like there will be a new plastic Wild Rider kit, a dual kit that also makes some kind of stag cavalry unit. Or maybe it just gives the Wild Rider unit the option of taking stags instead of Elven Steeds. There are many rumours for other new releases and rule changes as well but nothing that’s really confirmable at this stage. One interesting rumour I read was that Forest Spirits now get the ‘Hatred’ special rule. This would suit the background of the forest spirit units in the army book, and could also make them a bit more useful as well.

    Following the GW pattern it will be a preview in White Dwarf and presale orders this Sat 4/26 (Confirmed). First wave next Saturday with the book 5/3

    Pre-orders are up, but… only 2 new releases ?!? Not that impressive…
