Hey, I got one of them too. But I can still call it bullshit.

But as said, if you feel like you “have” to buy it, the campaign at the beginning is alright and, if you don’t have Crusade of Fire, you might just wanna try and give the dog-fighting stuff a spin on a slow afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend buying the book for this stuff, but if you have the book… well.. you’ll have that stuff too.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately I just ordered it a few days ago. In any case, our LGW won’t allow any models to be played without whatever book contains the latest rules in hand. As an ultrasmurf player, that means I have to have the book to play the Stormraven at all, and to play the Stormtalon for fewer points. That’s basically $24 CDN each for the two pages I need from the book

Really helpful review, many thanks. I’ve been looking for info on the book before making any decision on it – I suspected it had little content and was another GW howler, but wasn’t entirely sure – now I stand in no doubt. What surprises me is that they didn’t draw across some of the material they had from other books (e.g. Forge World’s Imperial Armour Aeronautica) to create a truly comprehensive, sixth ed friendly flyers compendium that many would have paid even more to purchase. Instead, it sounds like we got a half-baked, money making pile of garbage. Depressing really – but at least now I know I was right not to invest in a copy

Thanks for the great review, now that these are back in stock I’m glad to have seen the actual contents before ordering. It seems painfully obvious why this is direct only as anyone looking at it on the shelf isn’t going to waste $33 for essentially the same or less content than a White Dwarf.

Titles are typically non-copyrightable. If somebody wants to protect his or her title, it has to be done through trademarking.

Apparently, you guys pay no attention to international agreements on copy write laws. There is already a book out there titled “Death From the Skies.” ” This is the way the world will end.” By astronomer Phil Plait. Released in 2008. It’s a really good book, entertaining and informative. You should read it…

I feel cynical for thinking it, but i genuinely believe the reason its been such a limited release is to stop people seeing its such a lemon before theyve plonked their cash down for it. Im just glad i dont own any stormtalons so i can just ignore it.

I worried about pre-condemning the book solely on the bad press it received to start with. But it is a poor book no matter how you look at it.
