The first 2013 Games Workshop Games Day, in Memphis in the US, should have concluded some time ago. I haven’t seen much in the way of coverage from people who went to the event. No Golden Demon entries yet, for example.
As most people will know by know, the times when Games Workshop (the Studio) actually previewed new stuff on Games Days (beyond the newly released Lizardmen) are long gone.
Fortunately, there are a few snap shots from previewed Forge World models over on Dakka.

#1 – Sicaran Battle Tank
Ok. I thought I’d know my way around the universe of Warhammer 40K for the most part (though, admittedly, I am not as versed in the Horus Heresy).
What is a “Sicaran” Battle Tank? Skitarri? Mechanicus? Someone help me out!
#2 – Iron Hands Contemptor Dreadnought
That one is easier to place! A Contemptor Dread with Iron Hands iconography.
#3 – Sons of Horus Command Squad
A Command Squad in the spiky aesthetic seen in the Sons of Horus Reavers earlier this week.
#4 – Assault Marines with Power Weapons
Hmmmm…. Lighting Claws!
#5 – Space Marines Fire Raptor (W.I.P.)
Last but not least, a work-in-progress shot of the Space Marines “Fire Raptor”. The Fire Raptor, allegedly, will be a gunship variant of the Storm Eagle without transport capacity. Picture from the D6 Initiative.
Thoughts?
Well, if that is the view of things to come, Forge World seems rather committed to flesh out their Horus Heresy line with a vengeance. No non-Heresy stuff in sight.
On the other hand, lots and lots of fine releases to build some of the poshest Space Marine armies ever, if you’re so inclined.
