Review – Tabletop Tyrant Squire Plastic Figure Case

Tabletop Tyrant Figure Case

My miniature collection grows, thus I need storage. Since I already own a few cases from Tabletop Tyrant, such as my trusty Kingmaker (behind the books in the pic above), I was more than happy to see Tabletop’s newest addition, the Squire Plastic Figure Case.

Pretty much the same size as Tabletop Tyrant’s “half-size” Kingmaker, it replaces the black material case for a sturdy plastic exterior. One (or more) of those should be really useful in storing larger miniature collections (e.g. Warhammer 40K).

#1 – The Squire Plastic Figure Case from Tabletop Tyrant

The Squire Plastic Figure Case itself first opens at the front, which gives a good look at how many foam trays fit inside this one.

More importantly, there is a little “clip” on each side, which can be unhooked…

#2 – The Tabletop Tyrant Foam Trays

Speaking of the Tabletop Tyrant foam trays: they are fully interchangeable between all their cases (I own), and include a variety of options.

My favourite are the ‘Pick-&-Pluck”-ones, which can be made to fit all kinds of oddly shaped minis, such as my X-Wing stuff or my DreadBall Mech (painted by Mini Brush Studio!).

As with the other cases, one of the things I like best about Tabletop Tyrant is their online-widget, which allows me to play with the different options for foam trays in any given case.

#3 – Thoughts?

The Squire Plastic Figure case is a very good case to get your miniatures from A to B, or to store them safely when you’re not using them.

The plastic is surprisingly sturdy, though of course it misses the zips and straps of the regular cases from Tabletop Tyrant. However, it is also a good bit cheaper – GBP 19.99 RRP – which does help if you need more than one to store larger collections.

Let me know what think!

@TheShellCase @GreatRedoubt Yeah I don't think they've sculpted a 40K mini in a decade. Still, they are bedrock from the earliest days of GW - 21 hours ago
