The New Warhammer Dark Elves Arrive!

Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves

The new Dark Elves for Warhammer Fantasy were officially unveiled by Games Workshop today.

Though I am not a Warhammer Fantasy player, I must say that the last few releases for Warhammer Fantasy, most recently Lizardmen and now Dark Elves, have all been spectacular miniatures. Fantasy releases don’t seem to generate quite the hype that new releases for Warhammer 40K do, but I genuinely enjoy the models Games workshop is releasing for Fantasy.

The new “maritime” & snake look of the Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves is a good example. I know Dark Elves in Warhammer Fantasy always had elements of that theme going, scaly cloaks, etc.., but the designers really brought it to the fore in fantastic ways.

The Medusa is clearly one of my favourite miniatures in a long time.

    The models are fantastic, as have been there fantasy releases for a long time, but the movement they have got on some of these dark elf models is fantastic

      Yeah. I hope (and am rather sure) they put some of them up for display at GD tomorrow :)

    I want to buy the cauldron just to use the Khaine piece as it’s own model for 40k daemons or dark elder because that thing is just a piece of awesomeness :D I don’t even care if they overshadowed Nids.

    These look great! I’ll be getting some. If there is one thing they seem to do well – its new plastics. Pity they are not super cheap but still – I want some. Esp those warriors!

    when all the models arrive, this will be the best release I’ve seen for the new editions. I don’t even play DE;s but I just want to paint the models!!
