I built a home-made “mag-lock” system for my bolt pistol, using steel-cup sockets and rare earth magnets. It won’t come loose or slide down. I have a cooling system built into the chest piece and backpack so that I don’t overheat (fans, cooling vest, Camelbak). The backpack is functional — I have storage space inside, all the batteries for the electronics are inside, and a Camelbak is inside — they all run into the chest piece where they can connect to their respective components.

My next-gen suit is going to be made purely of EVA foam and Wonderflex, so that it weighs half of what this one does (about 75lbs).
