Karl Urban Reads Intro To Judge Dredd: America

Judge Dredd America

In late 2012, an ultraviolent Judge Dredd movie reboot hit cinemas, replacing the more hollywood-heroic 1990s interpretation of Stallone with a grim Karl Urban.

The film, to be fair, flopped badly, though it gained a cult following since. Karl Urban himself seems to like the character too, and keeps working with 2000AD on occasion.

Now there’s a little YouTube video of Karl Urban reading intro from the popular Judge Dredd: America comic book at a comic con with the comic itself. Have a look!

Thoughts?

Anybody still holding out for a Dredd 3d sequel? Or has the hype faded? Is Karl Urban still up to it? What did you think of that short “audio-comic”?

Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

@ATT64 Slaughterball, IMO, doesn't go being being a "board game". Why are players called "Cleaver", etc.., ? In-universe? I don't know. - 4 hours ago

Loved Dredd. Best Sci-fi Action Film in a good While.

I’d love to see another Dredd with Urban. He was much better than Stallone and despite of the movie bombing it brought to live the supposedly dystopian setting (which Stallone’s version completely failed and not even the comics do justice.)
