Warhammer 40K 7th Edition is coming. We are less than a week away from preorders (get ready for a sticker-shock), and two weeks until the first people will be opening the new book.
From what we’ve seen so far, which is admittedly an incomplete picture, Warhammer 40K will be changing, a lot! Do you like what you’ve seen so far?
#1 – The Leaks and the Internet
The reason I am asking this question is, once again, the observation that opinions on “the internet” appear to be changing (or perhaps, they are not). When the first White Dwarf leaks appeared, there was outrage everywhere. The idea of “unbound” armies, in particular, was .. well .. not received kindly.
Now we’ve seen the first of (it seems) three teaser videos by Jervis Johnson, as well as the actual White Dwarf that was leaked.
More information is coming through and, in parts at least, the idea of “unbound”, as well as some of the other previewed changes (e.g. tactical objectives) seem to find a few fans.
Of course, that in itself would seem like a good reason for GW to be a bit more outgoing in their information about upcoming products. But I digress….
#2 – Army Organisation Preview Video
If you haven’t seen it yet, here is the video again.
#3 – Do You Like What You See?
Do you like what you see of the previewed changes to the rules (not the fact that GW is updating Warhammer 40K less than 2 years in, or that it will likely cost you an arm and a leg to get the book – presumably the game designers have no say in those).
#4 – Thoughts?
Now, before you say “we’ve not seen the whole picture yet”: True. We have not. I will likely run another poll once we’ve played a few games of Warhammer 40K 7th Edition.
The idea of this poll is to get an idea of the mood at this particular point in time – before the release of the new Edition of Warhammer 40K.
So go ahead and vote!
Many thanks!
Z.
P.S.:
I am also closing the “40K Radio vs. BOLS Rumour-Fight Poll” from a few months ago.
