We’re up to the neck in Games Workshop’s make-over of the Warhammer 40K Orks.
So it is that time again. Let’s take a look at what the world’s best painters have done with Games Workshop’s Ork miniatures to date.
Enjoy.
#1 – Ork Kommando Nob by Alex Murray
Let’s kick this post off with a Kommando from Alex Murray, who won the Golden Demon for Staff at the Australian Games Day in 2010 with this great conversion. Love the Grot sniper.
Simple. Effective. Fun. Great little miniature!
#2 – Bad Moon Orks by Guillaume Hemery
At the Golden Demon in France in 2009, Guillaume Hemery took home the Golden Demon for best Warhammer 40K Squad with this stunning squad of Bad Moon Orks.
Those colours are just … unbelievably awesome! One of my favourite Ork squads of all time!
#3 – Looted Tau Piranha by Mathias Paaschburg
Looted vehicles are a staple of Ork armies, but they are not your typical contest-miniature.
One of the few is this fantastic Ork-looted Tau Piranha by Mathias Paaschburg, which took silver at the UK Games Day in 2008. I especially love its “face”.
#4 – Ork Nob by Sebastian Archer
Take an old-school Ork Nob. Paint it like a pro. Win a Golden Demon for best Warhammer 40K miniature. That’s exactly what Sebastian Archer did at the Australian Games Day in 2008!
#5 – Ork Warboss Roadrippa by Vincent Hudon
And, finally, a Slayer Sword winner! Ork Warboss Roadrippa by Vincent Hudon, who took home the big price at the United States Games Day in 2011.
I have no words for how awesome this miniature is!
Got something on his teeth, I think!
